The
final solution to all your in-car communication needs if you use an
Apple iPhoneŽ. There is now a packaged
system that works with it's own MMI and RNS-E systems that allows for
seamless connection between your iPhoneŽ and the in-car
audio/navigation
system. Alongside
the standard
Bluetooth hands-free functions
(accept/reject
call/hands-free), the iPhoneŽ Interface supports the
display of
the signal strength, the provider’s name, uses the in car
antenna
for better range, automatic muting, charges your phone and keeps it in
place neatly. In the future it may be possible to have full
control over the iPod functions of the iPhone while in the interface.
We are working on a solution to take control of the iPod functions
through the interface allowing all cars with the Music Interface
to take full advantage
of the iPodŽ functions of your iPhoneŽ. This
would allow the MMI to
completely control your music functions as with the Music
Interface.
